Hi,

At this point I have so many folders, I would like some way of backing up the data. In case something goes wrong.

Are data backups a possibility in the future for FileCrypt?

Also, if a folder is deleted, is it gone forever (does it get deleted from the database completely?)

Thanks!

You can use our API any time, or whats your preferred backup format?

I am not familiar with API usage, but I can learn. I guess what I'm concerned about is another user (we share our account among our staff) accidental deleting the folders. Is there a way to restrict ability to delete folders? I am asking because if our folders were deleted then our site would have nothing (we depend on FC)

Thanks :)

Hello,

we make backups of our database multiple times a day, if this case will happen, that a staff member of yours deletes all folders (we hope not) please contact our support, we will then recover everything from the last backup for you.

Even deleted is not yet completely deleted, deleted folders will be moved to trashbin so a accidentally removal is nearly impossible.

... and of course you can generate multiple API keys and set the rights for creation, editing, checking, deleting and listing folders for each of them according to your specific needs. If every member has its own API key within your account it's easier to maintain the others' posting ability if you have to kick one of them.

Just have a look at the account settings page, there you'll find it all.
